Planning for the 2011 “Go Rodeo!” festival is well underway. A parade will kick off events on Saturday, September 3 beginning at 11 a.m. in downtown Mount Vernon.
Entries for the parade are being sought. Several horse riding groups have consented to participate.
“We want everyone to take part in this parade and then enjoy the concert on the plaza afterward,” Chamber manager Carolyn Teague said. To register your group or organization for the parade, call the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce office at 903-537-4365.
