The annual Key Club CountryFest in Mount Vernon will celebrate its 37th year Saturday, Oct. 7. Festivities begin at 5:30 a.m. with the setup of stew contestants and will continue through 4 p.m. Vendor booths open at 9 a.m. with more than 115 booths reserved. They will be located on the plaza, around the plaza, along the curbs on the north and east sides of the square, as well as on Houston and Kaufman streets south of Main Street. Nonstop entertainment is scheduled for the CountryFest Stage, located across from the northeast corner of the plaza.
