Parents are urged to plan now to enter their child in the peoples choice costume contest at the fifth annual Halloween Party and Hayride Saturday, Oct. 29. The event will be held at the Alamo Mission Museum, sponsor for the activities. Those entering the costume contest are asked to register their children from 6-6:30 p.m. The games and other activities will not get started until 6:30 p.m. For more information about the event, see the October 20 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
