For the first time in several years, Trick-or-Treat Around the Square will be conducted on Halloween, Monday, Oct. 31. The event will begin at 5 p.m. and will be finished by 7 p.m. Twenty-two businesses and organizations have per-registered to serve as candy stops for all the little ghouls and goblins to visit. The Interact Club will provide games on the downtown plaza during the event. Five costume and eight window decorating entries have been registered in the annual Merchant’s Halloween Dress-Up and Window Decorating contests.
