Baby Phinney diagnosed with heterotaxy syndrome

Alexis Phinney, otherwise known as Baby Phinney, has now been diagnosed as having heterotaxy syndrome. It is a disorder that results in certain organs forming on the opposite side of the body. Her parents to be are Keith and Amy Phinney of Mount Vernon, and she is due to arrive on Dec. 18. For more information, see the November 17 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
