Angel gift adoptions are slow this year, but changing hourly, according to Cynthia Linseisen, one of two Community in Schools, case workers with the Mount Vernon Independent School District. The deadline to adopt a child/family is Friday, Dec. 9. The deadline to return the gifts to the office from which they were adopted is Wednesday, Dec. 14.
