Claire Dappen enjoyed several pieces of watermelon at the annual Watermelon Day event on the square Friday, Aug. 3. Evidence of her enjoyment was shown with the juice dripping from her chin. More than 75 people attended the event sponsored by the Friends of the Franklin County Library.
