Long awaited work on the combination restroom, concession and storage building at Little Creek Park is well underway.
The building’s face lift was begun last week with the application of metal panels on the sides and roof. Labor for the project was donated by Steve Wafford and his construction crew. Preparatory work and replacement of wooden portions of the building were provided by the Jon Copeland Construction crew. Most of the materials for the project were donated by Tom Scott Lumber Yard of Mount Vernon. For details about the project, see the Sept. 20 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
