The 22nd annual Trick-or-Treat Around the Square is set for Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in downtown Mount Vernon. The evening of safe fun for area toddlers through pre-teenage children is sponsored by the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, area organizations, local businesses, and merchants. There is no cost to enter a business for the window or merchant dress-up contest or as a treat stop.
