The “Avenue of Flags” honoring deceased veterans buried at the Mount Vernon City Cemetery was dedicated during a ceremony at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12. Featured speaker for the event was Jack Wallace, retired U.S. Navy veteran and current pastor for the First United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon.
