Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Gingerbread houses and gingerbread men were present on many of the 45 entries in the annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 1 in downtown Mount Vernon. The local girl scout troop wore red and green chef’s hats. Grand Marshals for the parade were Charles and Peggy Lowry. Members of the Legion Riders served as the parade’s color guard.
