Fay Ellis, Beralton Fountain and Stella Chandler were presented keys to their new homes from the City of Mount Vernon last Thursday, April 25.

The seventh annual American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Franklin County is a celebration of cancer survivorship and a fun way to raise vital funds needed to help find a cure for cancer.

Kevin Spence was selected to represent the Northeast Texas Region as a District 11 Representative on the Rural Water Association Board.

Early voting in four elections for the City of Mount Vernon will begin Monday, April 29.

Formal ground breaking ceremonies were conducted at the site for McDonald’s of Mount Vernon on Hwy. 37 just south of I-30 on Friday, April 19.
