“Let’s Go Rodeo!” Mayor J. D. Baumgardner proclaimed at a rodeo festival planning meeting last week. The decision to go forward with the second annual “Go Rodeo” festival was a unanimous one between those in attendance.

A unanimous vote of the Mount Vernon City Council adopted an ordinance to preserve and protect trees in public areas.
