Fun but noisy ride on a rail car

Print
Fun but noisy ride on a rail carEvan Sears, son of Brad and Krisann Sears, found the noise made in manually turning an antique rail car loud enough to cover his ears, but not enough to wipe the smile from his face. Seventeen rail cars with Railroad Partners, Inc. traveled from Greenville to Mount Vernon Saturday, Oct. 18. The 35 or so passenger /owners of the vehicles ate lunch and visited shops and museums in downtown. The cars range from 1940 to 1980 vintage with some engines as old as the 1920s. Excursion attendees were from San Antonio, Houston, Oklahoma City and the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area. Members indicated they wanted to make this an annual visit.
