The family of Tammy Townlin and Chad Crow narrowly escaped with their lives from a fire at their home at 201 W. Front St. in Winfield early Sunday, June 21. Ms. Townlin awoke between 2:30 and 3 a.m. and smelled smoke.
As she opened the door to the master bedroom, she could see nothing through the smoke. Mr. Crow ran to the other end of the house where three of their four children were sleeping. See the June 25 edition of the Optic-Herald for details on how to help this family.
