The City of Winfield will receive a $250,000 grant from the Office of Rural Community Affairs (ORCA) through the Ark-Tex Council of Governments.
The funds will be used to pay a contractor to replace dilapidated water lines. The areas the lines are to be replaced are along Second, Fifth, Miller and Cleveland streets and along U.S. Hwy. 67. See the Aug. 27 edition of the Optic-Herald for more information.
