The Wood County Electric Cooperative (WCEC) Annual Meeting will take place on Friday, Oct. 9 at Governor Jim Hogg City Park off Hwy. 37 in Quitman. An Energy and Education Expo will begin at noon with the New Plainsmen’s performance kicking off at 12:30 p.m. The business portion of the meeting will begin at 2 p.m. and the door prize drawings will follow.  See the Oct. 8 edition of the Optic-Herald for more details.
