Mount Vernon Independent School District earned a Superior rating under Texas’ schools FIRST financial accountability rating system for the seventh consecutive year. The district was able to give a positive answer to all but one of the 24 measures used in the rating. The only negative was that the district had too large a dollar amount in the fund balance.
