Members of the Franklin County Water District’s Board of Directors got their first look at the 2010 district budget last week. The proposal calls for a balanced budget with $1,212,950 in total income, and $1,414,938 in total expenses for the year. The budget includes $300,250 in ad valorem tax proceeds. Of which, $300,238 will be used for debt payment on repairs at the dam on Lake Cypress Springs. The balance will go toward the $75,000 which the state requires to be held in surplus toward that debt throughout the life of the bonds.
