Joshua Sellers is the newest member of the Mount Vernon Police Department. He assumed his duties on Monday, Jan. 4. He earned his Basic Peace Officer certification with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education on Dec. 18, 2009 from the Northeast Police Academy at Northeast Texas Community College in Mount Pleasant.
