Candidates spend more than $22,000 for primaryThe yard signs that are popping up like Spring flowers throughout the county are evidence that expenditures for candidates in the March 2 Primary Elections are up from previous years. A total of $22,737.58 has been spent by those seeking a spot on their respective party’s ballots. See the Feb. 11 edition of the Optic-Herald for a listing of contributions received and expenses paid by each of the local candidates.
