Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

State of Texas flags are being collected for official retirement in a formal ceremony later this month. Anyone with a worn or damaged Texas state flag is asked to drop it off at the offices of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald or at the Alamo Mission Museum no later than Monday, April 19. U. S. flags will not be included in this retirement ceremony. See the April 8 edition of the Optic-Herald for more details.
