The eighth annual “Unity March” in celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day will be Monday, Jan. 19. The traditional formal program will be conducted at Mission Manor Nursing Home later in the day.
Participants will gather at 9 a.m. at the Denton Baptist Church to begin their march to the downtown courthouse by 9:30 a.m. Organizers request no bicycles, scooters or skates be used in the march. See the Jan. 15 edition of the Optic-Herald for more details.
