The City of Mount Vernon’s $1.7 million water line replacement project will be moving from Rutherford St. to Miller and Kaufman streets this week. The rain delays experienced when the project was starting  slowed construction. The contractor has begun to make up lost time with recent drier days. The project is still targeted for completion by mid-October of this year. See the April 29 edition of the Optic-Herald for more information.
