The Texas Highway Patrol and law enforcement officers across the state are participating in the ninth “Click It or Ticket” enforcement mobilization began May 24 and continues through June 6. As of Sept. 1, 2009, state law has required everyone in a vehicle to be secured by a safety belt.  For more details, see the May 27 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
