Volunteers with the Northeast Texas Regional Film Commission began to organize local efforts to promote locations in Franklin County and Mount Vernon to the film-making industry. Ronald Hollmon, left, Lee Ellen Benjamin, right, and Lynne Spiven, not shown, were here Jan. 14 to begin the process.
They have been working with the regional film commission since organizing in July, 2008. Teresia Wims, local Economic Development Coordinator, is the local contact for the group. About 20 local citizens attended the workshop session at Mount Vernon’s City Hall.
