Sue Ann Harper, Tax Assessor / Collector for Franklin County, has completed all educational requirements for her office.
She now holds a Class II Assessor certification as a Registered Tax Assessor in the State of Texas from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The current certification covers requirements for her both as an assessor and collector.
She completed all the courses and successfully passed the state assessor’s examination / test for a Class IV certification 16 months after taking office. New office holders have up to five years to complete the courses.
“The series of courses are in depth, and there is an extensive examination for each class,” noted Mrs. Harper. “There is lots of study involved.” See the rest of the story in the June 10 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald
