Donations are being sought to fund the annual Independence Day weekend fire works show on Lake Cypress Springs. All contributions over the cost of the materials for the show are donated to the South Franklin Volunteer Fire Department. Donations for the fireworks show can be sent to 162 Twisted Trail, Mount Vernon, Texas, 75457 or through the SFVFD at 264 FM 3357, Scroggings, Texas, 75480.  Checks can be made to either Rick Boltz or SFVFD.  See the June 17 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for information.
