The City of Mount Vernon  has set the dates for its third quarter clean-up for Saturday, July 10, and Monday through Saturday, July 12 through 17. City of Mount Vernon residents may bring solid waste to a collection bin for disposal at no charge from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the clean-up days. The bin is located at the City Maintenance Barn on the east side of Holbrook St. (Spur 423).  For more information, see the July 1 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
