The Franklin County Appraisal District is proposing a $28,159 drop in its budget for the coming fiscal year. The proposed budget was presented at the Wednesday, Jan. 21 meeting of the board of directors. The district’s public hearing on its 2009-10 operating budget is set for 7:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30 at their office located at 310 W. Main St. in Mount Vernon.
