The Mount Vernon City Council and members of the city’s Parks and Recreation Committee will meet jointly at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24. The joint meeting will make up the first portion of the council’s monthly workshop session. The Parks and Recreation Committee, headed by Bob McFarland, presented its report to the council in June 2010. The committee presented four possible courses of action to the council concerning Little Creek Park and other possible park locations in the city.
