The automated teller machine (ATM) taken in the July 9 theft at the Texas American Bank was recovered last weekend.
Investigator Deputy Sheriff Robert Zinn said that the machine was recovered after receiving information from a “cooperating individual.” After acquiring the information, the investigator notified Dallas Police Department officials. Dallas officers went to the location and recovered the ATM.
The machine was found on a vacant lot in the 2900 block of Scammel St. in Dallas. The machine was in multiple pieces, according to Dallas Police Investigator Wendell Jones. See the Sept. 9 edition of the Mount Venron Optic-Herald for more details.
