U. S. Pipeline is employing around 350 people in various crews as it crosses Franklin County. A little over a mile of pipe is welded together each day, while other crews clear right-of-way, haul and lay pipe. The automatic welding units, lower left, were located off CR NE2120 last Friday.
Joining crews, top right, were nearing Hwy. 37 north of FM 71. Burying crews were reported still north of the Sulphur River. Pipe for this section of the job comes from the company’s pipe yard at Paris, Texas. (Optic Photo by Lillie Bush-Reves ‘08)
