Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The Franklin County Commissioners Court is seeking bids from area contractors to provide lighting for eight baseball / softball fields. The county is attempting to complete at least eight of the 10 fields of this type planned for the site.
There are to be 168 - 1500 watt metal halide fixtures, 16 - 60 foot tall concrete poles with cross arms and all the additional materials needed to wire and ground the fixtures.
Members of the court set 9 a.m. Monday Oct. 25 as the deadline to receive the bids. Those received will be opened for review and possibly awarded at the regular meeting of the court that day. For more details, see the Oct. 14 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
