Members of the Mount Vernon ISD school broad met on Monday, Dec. 13. A variety of issues were discussed and voted on. Members of the board voted to rename the streets surrounding the school. “The committee for naming the streets felt it was best not to use actual people’s names,” Mrs. Elbert advised the board. They agreed to name the streets Tiger Blvd., Tiger Trail, Tiger Field Road, East Tiger, North Tiger, South Tiger, and Cub Circle as shown on the adjacent diagram.
