Jason Knox will assume duties as a patrol officer for the City of Mount Vernon on Monday, March 14. Officer Knox graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1998 and received his Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education certification from the Northeast Texas Community College Police Academy in July of 2010.
