The Board of Directors for the Franklin County Water District called for an election to fill two seats during their Feb. 17 regular meeting.
The FCWD will join both the City of Mount Vernon and the Mount Vernon Independent School District, which are also conducting elections on Saturday, May 9.
The deadline to file as a candidate in any of the three elections is Monday, March 9. Registration packets are available from the administrative offices of each of the respective entities. For further information, see the Feb. 26 edition of the Optic-Herald.
