Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The City of Mount Vernon has retained the Blackburn Carter Law Firm of Houston to defend the law suit filed by investors of an oil exploration company. The firm has 20 years experience in Texas Environmental Law. It is known for its efforts to protect citizens’ interests in environmental contamination, permitting and enforcement aspects issues. The case was filed in October 2010 after the City Council did not grant a request to rescind a 30 year old city ordinance or grant a request for a variance from the ordinance. Councilman B. F.
