Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The City of Mount Vernon simplified construction permits by lowering permit fees to $30 for any project valued at less than $2,500. The City Council further clarified its building permit fee ordinance at its April meeting by placing the list of exemptions  and/or exceptions near the first of the ordinance rather than at the last.
