Print

Live entertainment is planned for the Piney Woods Wine Trail Festival in downtown Mount Vernon on Saturday, May 21. The entertainment begins when the gates open at 10 a.m. and continues throughout the day and into the early evening hours.
Loretta Callens will provide a mixture of old and new selections folk rock on guitar with vocals. Gabe Clayton, a favorite of last year’s fall wine event crowd, will play the hammered dulcimer.
Debra Johnson will sing and play both guitar and keyboard. Gary and Diane Jones play guitar and fiddle to provide background for their mix of country and folk music favorites.
Benjamin Munson, who played for this year’s Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Banquet, will bring the strains of classical guitar to the plaza. Stan Narramore, a home-grown talent, will sing and play guitar performing folk and blues songs. For more details for the event, see the May 5 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
