The election of three persons to fill seats on the Mount Vernon City Council and the Pct. 4 Seat on the Franklin County Water District’s Board of Directors will be Saturday, May 14. There will be two polling places, which will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Franklin County Water District’s Pct. 4 voting will be at the Lake Cypress Springs Baptist Church. The church is located on FM 115 just north of the entrance to Kings Country development. Only registered voters in that precinct may vote in this election. Voting in the Mount Vernon City Council election will be in the council chambers of City Hall, 109 N. Kaufman Street. It is on the west side of the square in downtown Mount Vernon.
