Law enforcement officers and good neighbors need help in returning straying livestock to their owners. Franklin County Sheriff Paul Fletcher is asking citizens who own livestock to register with the sheriff’s office.
The department has recorded more than 50 calls of stray animals, mostly cattle, between Jan. 1 and Feb. 28, and the current “Cow List” is outdated. See the March 5 edition of the Optic-Herald for more details.
