Billy Jordan registered to run for the Pct. 2 seat on the Franklin County Water District Board of Directors. He has been a long time director for Pct. 1, but a change of residence moved him into the different precinct. No candidates filed for the Pct. 1 seat by the deadline on Monday, March 9.
The four candidates filed to run for the two seats up for grabs on the school board. They include Bert Edmondson, Kenneth Shelton, Tyler Banister, and James Kober.
Darlene Hatcher, Nathan Reves, Jim Taggart, Lynn Pennington, and Libby Milton have filed for the three positions open on the Mount Vernon City Council.
