The annual reorganization meeting of the Main Street Alliance and Visionaries In Preservation committees is set for 5 p.m. Monday, March 16. The meeting will be conducted in the council chambers of the Mount Vernon City Hall downtown.
New members are expected to join the group as the more than 15 varied organizations and clubs appoint their representatives to the board.
The group will review the past year’s accomplishments, go over goals not reached, and set new goals for the future.
Organizations who are to be represented on the board include City of Mount Vernon, Arts Alliance, Historical Association, Key Club, Sheriff’s Posse, Genealogical Society, Friends of the Library, Franklin County, EDC/Industrial Foundation, Rotary Club, and possibly four others.
