The City of Mount Vernon’s Third Quarter Clean-up continues through Saturday, July 16. The quarterly clean-up weeks were begun in 2007. The city is offering access to open-top dumpsters at its maintenance facility on Holbrook St. (Spur 423), between Andrews and Grady streets. The dumpster access will be available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“This is a great time for those who are notified of code violations for unsightly rubbish and other items to rid themselves of the items for free and avoid costly fines and/or court costs,” Municipal Judge Kathy Lovier stressed.
