Heat can create serious health problems for the sick and elderly. Chief Deputy Chris Mars is asking those in these categories who find themselves without either a boxed fan or air conditioning to contact him at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department. “We are developing a referral list of those in need to local groups and agencies who may be able to provide some means of heat relief,” explained Chief Mars.
