Sludge registrations dropped

Print

Terra Renewal, Inc. has asked to drop their request for registration of two properties in Franklin County for disposal of water treatment plan sludge. The company’s letters  to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to drop the requests were dated Monday, Aug. 22. Although the TCEQ has not yet responded, their acknowledgment is a formality, according to Billy Staton, environmental director for Terra Renewal. Dropping the request for registration of the waste that comes from freshwater treatment plants is the last of the current actions requested by the company for Franklin  and Titus counties. See the August 25 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more information.
