District Judge Robert Newsom said last week that he will not be seeking a fifth four-year term as Eighth Judicial District Judge.
“I am not retiring.  I plan to complete my judicial term which will be completed December 31, 2012,”  noted Judge Newsom. Judge Newsom was first elected in 1997 to the Eighth  Judicial District bench. That district includes Hopkins, Delta, Franklin, and Rains counties.
