Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The City of Mount Vernon’s Economic Development Corporation approved $50,000 in matching funds to be used as the city’s part for a sidewalk improvement grant. The pledge of financial support is required as part of the application package which is due to the state by Oct. 4. d to cover the cost of engineering, a water line, and preparing the grant, as well as some of the construction costs.
