Expecting couples are typically nervous about the upcoming birth of their child, but the event becomes more stressful when they are advised there will be medical complications. Keith and Amy Phinney of Mount Vernon were told their baby, to be named Alexis and is due Dec. 18, will require open heart and facial surgery immediately following her birth.
